Welcome to our family tradition. After World War I, my grandfather, Domenico Di Somma opened a small bakery in Pozzuoli, a beautiful, picturesque seaside village on the Bay of Napoli.
Domenico named the bakery Rosa Rosa after his beautiful wife Rosa who he called affectionately Rosa Rosa. Their love story is spoken about in Pozzuoli to this day.
Domenico worked hard for his family with passion and determination, to create something for his son, my father, Gennaro. Eventually the bakery went to my father who would later hand it over to my older brother Domenico, named after our grandfather.
Today, Rosa Rosa bakery continues the family tradition of making the finest breads, pastries and pizzas in Pozzuli. My brother tends his ovens with the same love & care that my grandfather began & my father nurtured.
My father offers to you the Rosa Rosa legacy of fine food here in America, made with love & care as a way of honoring our family history.
